Lifting Equipment – Testing & Inspections

If you work with lifting equipment, you will understand the importance of ensuring it operates safely to protect your employee and other people in the vicinity while the equipment is in use.

Under Irish law, the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Applications) 2007, inspection, testing and certification of lifting equipment must be carried out every six months. You may opt to have your lifting equipment inspected more often if it has been inactive for a period of time, has undergone significant repairs or replacements, or has had prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions such as snow.

Once the inspection and testing of your lifting equipment is complete, you will receive a GA1 Form, Report of Thorough Examination, certifying your lifting equipment is in good working order as per Irish health and safety requirements. If our inspection and testing services identifies defects, you will receive a report of what needs to be rectified before you can gain certification. All inspections, certification and renewal dates are logged on our online portal, which provides you with access anytime with a secure ID. We can discuss your report and also talk to you about compliance and safety requirements to ensure your lifting equipment meets the required standards.
