Multi Directional (4-way) Forklift
The Multi-Directional (4-Way) Forklift training is designed to provide participants with the specialised skills and knowledge required to operate multi directional forklifts. It aims to provide the expertise needed to manoeuvre, load, and handle goods using multi-directional forklifts.
Why This Course is Important
Multi-directional forklifts are useful in industries such as manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics, where long or irregular loads are handled. Operating these specialised forklifts without proper training can lead to accidents, damaged goods, and operational inefficiencies. This course is vital to ensure participants possess the skills and knowledge to operate multi-directional forklifts safely, adapt to diverse work environments, and contribute to smoother material handling processes.
Who Should Attend This Course
People who operate or work around multi-directional forklifts, such as warehouse operators, manufacturing professionals, material handlers, logistics and distribution staff and construction workers can benefit from this course.
The Multi Directional (4 Way) training course is delivered through a combination of practical training and theoretical knowledge, through:
- An introduction to the design, features, and unique capabilities of multi directional forklifts.
- Best practices for starting, stopping, and manoeuvring multi directional forklifts safely.
- Development of skills for moving loads in multiple directions, including sideways and diagonal movements.
- An understanding of load balancing, stacking, and transporting loads.
- Identification of risks specific to multi directional forklift operations, and how to apply safety measures.
- Multi directional forklift maintenance requirements, pre-use inspections, and reporting defects.
To participate in the training, participants must:
- Ideally be 18+ years of age
- Be medically fit to operate machinery
- Have their own PPE gear (boots, high vis vest)
